Over the last 25 years, Jeff has managed substantial pools of private and public funds and arranged and invested in equity and debt capital of growing companies. In 2000, he co-founded East Hill Management with Landon Clay, who provided capital backing. East Hill raised $108.3 million in venture capital from high net worth investors and non-profit endowments. New Hill Management was founded by Jeff to continue the investment strategy of the earlier funds.
Previously, he was a founder and the Chief Investment Officer of CypressTree Investment Management growing assets to in excess of $2.5 billion. Earlier, as founding Portfolio Manager of Eaton Vance Prime Rate Reserves Fund, Jeff created and developed this business at Eaton Vance and grew the fund to $2.5 billion. In the late 1970Ős and 1980Ős he raised equity and debt capital for growing companies as a banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now CSFB) and Texas Commerce Bank (now JP Morgan Chase).
He holds a BBA in Finance, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, an MBA in Finance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
